Donald Trump Jr. will campaign for Matt Gaetz in Niceville at Aug. 2 rally

Donald Trump Jr. is coming to Northwest Florida to campaign for U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz.

Gaetz’s campaign announced Thursday it will hold a rally Aug. 2 at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville.

The campaign announced in May that the president’s son would be campaigning in Florida for both Gaetz’s re-election and U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis’s bid for governor, but details on the event were not released.

Trump Jr. appeared with DeSantis earlier this month at a campaign rally in Orlando.

Gaetz is facing two challengers in the Republican primary, Cris Dosev and John Mills.

The Aug. 2 rally will begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening to the public at 5 p.m.

People who want to attend must register with the campaign at its website mattgaetz.com, according to a press release from the campaign.
