Our military leaders of tomorrow picked up some tips Tuesday night about what it takes to get accepted into the military academy.
Congressman Matt Gaetz, who serves on the House Arm Services Committee, was a keynote speaker at Military Academy Night held at Navarre High School.
He and other leaders spoke to young military hopefuls about the application and nomination process involved in getting into a military academy.
“They are learning about the grades, character and leadership skills that they have to demonstrate because one of the greatest opportunities I have as a member of Congress is to nominate people for our service academies who will one day potentially lead troops into battle. It’s something our community takes great pride in. It’s something I’m honored to do tonight,” Gaetz said.
Each branch of our Armed Forces was represented at the event.
